New Year Holiday Rain

Aloha poets,
Holiday rain inspires today's poetry. Enjoy!

Drumbeating Umbrellas

In scientific boredom a light emitter messages send
Electricity extraction, photosynthetic plants bend
Headwinds wind down as this Christmas fades
Threatens to hamper new year upcoming accolades

Hospital walls show the first signs of healing
War trauma in the field finally hit the ceiling
Get into fights for a neglected family gone
Teeming to team up, now the hunt is on

The dream act is something that won't go away
Ducks hatching plans holding hatchets at bay
Early sign of healing hampers recovery's arrival
Dream act holds dear our culture survival

A droopy face in the audience is just too much
Declines continue into the spring for all to touch
Dreary diversion of excitement brings a drama
Boring triggers the thrill if a bigger trauma

Education a serious subject for scientific enquiry
Economy downward drift remains a little fiery
Enthusiastic boredom as family entertainment
Government holidays gain all entrainment

Expansion stays simple in the realm of gaming
Retail sales, exports, manufacturing for blaming
Jazz it up a little, squeeze out another foreigner
Dream Act death? America the mourner

Sleepy Kitten Cloud

Aloha poets,
Can you see a sleepy kitten in these clouds?
Inspires today's poetry. Enjoy!

Christmas Chiasmas

Repeated thankfulness is Christmas re-versed
A clear cool message takes no rhetoric rehearsed
Justice departments of love seek to join no lawsuit
America as a power for the good gives the true hoot

The word sword cuts to play both ways
Can have you backwards in a swing and sways
A first salvo sets out to try to remedy that
Substantial traditions exhibit accessories a fat cat

Sword is the ghost writer of words in destiny
Necessary ambiguity betokens manifest festivity
Inspiration's slinking arrival is prolific
Politics slithers to finesse the scientific

Willful indistinctness is an old crudge mudgeon
A fool's chore rides wild within its dungeon
Modern apostle is a book manifest
Destiny's pragmatism the dusty test

Policymakers, evangelists gather on the screen
Instruct for industriousness sight unseen
Distastes for the rarefied refries in beans
In selections of examples of what it all means

Indebtor inheritors collect tools to split atoms, words
Curated exhibits poise the expressive v shards
The Artless Effect brings us all back to a beginning
Christmas chiasmas seek everyone winning

Rainbow Palm

Aloha poets,
Rainbow palm inspires today's poetry. Enjoy!

Oppression Nostalgia

Extinct era drifts off into suffering past
The point of no stops could never last
Beyond the rings of the hammer logo
Sculptor garden sings of age long ago

Reminders of suffering as transition
Off to capitalism into a new rendition
Oppression memorabilia gestures slow
A job and something to eat in the snow

Likeness of icons deemed once a hero
Glimpses socialism set back at a zero
The young look at faults of the system
Older folk look back in history wisdom

Once the state owned the factory all
Only a rummage sale now to recall
What beast enhance socialist past?
Dust gathers to auction at the last

To view the purge as an old idea
On cue the urge tethered a fear
Socialism ghost drifts as symbol
Coastal nostalgia a gift so nimble

Secret police, old brick warehouse
The light of day for a memory douse
Nostalgia for parents, saw it their way
Only now comes as burden, children play

Central planning yes, it had its heyday
Socialism coalition swooped to sway
Old dusty ghosts come out to play
Oppression nostalgia drifts away
